As the founder and CEO of On The Streets Education,
I am proud to share the vision, values, and lived experiences that shape the heart of our organisation. Being from Gorton is not just part of my story — it is the foundation of my purpose. The community values I grew up with still guide me today: resilience, solidarity, and the belief that every child deserves a fair chance to thrive - the very same values that On The Streets led with in the early 2000's.
My journey began as a project youth worker, working directly with young people whose potential was too often overlooked. Since 2018, I have progressed into educational leadership, specialising first in SEMH and then across wider SEN provisions.
These experiences have shaped me into a trauma‑informed practitioner, but more importantly, into a leader who believes deeply in collaborative leadership and succession planning.
No organisation thrives on the strength of one person — it thrives when everyone is empowered to lead, contribute, and grow.
At On The Streets Education, my vision is clear: to narrow the gaps that Gorton and wider areas of Manchester continue to face due to systemic shortages in restorative, inclusive, and future‑focused educational provision.
We are here to change that narrative.
Our mission is to build a model of education that:
Our children deserve provision that understands them, champions them, and prepares them for the world beyond the classroom. They deserve opportunities that match their potential — not their postcode.
On The Streets Education exists to make that a reality.
